This morning I woke up early feeling grumpy and tired. Babe Dako and I had a plans for me to go to his work because he has to be open from 10 AM to 2 PM. I told him that I would just follow him at lunch time and I would grab some lunch first before I go to his work. The main reason I wanted to go to his work was because I needed to wash my car, we like to do that while he is at work on Saturday's. After he left for work I took a nap on the sofa. I woke up about 12 noon and got dress then I gave him a call telling him that I wanted to have a take out lunch from the Chinese Restaurant near the Wall Mart. I left home just pass 12 noon and since I had just woke up from a long nap, I was feeling moody.
When I drove from the ramp going to Interstate which is supposed to be going to Wall Mart where the Chinese restaurant was what the heck I turned on the wrong ramp. I didn't pay attention. Guess what happened? I got lost! I went all the way to West Virginia my heart beats really fast. I just kept going because I was not sure how to turn around. I don't know where I was but I kept driving. I got so nervous when I saw the West Virginia sign. There were Big trucks passing by and the speed limit was 70 MPH. I have to drive as fast as I can or else I will get in trouble. I was driving what seems like forever because I cannot stop. When I saw the rest area sign I stopped and called my Babe Dako. He was shocked when I told him I got lost I don't know where to go. When I told him about the place he didn't have any idea where I was.
Luckily, there were a nice couple who have resting in the rest area. I told them I got lost I need to go back to 81 North. They said, I have to keep driving and take the next exit then I just have to turn around and find the sign 81 North or South. I keep driving seems like forever just following the road. I didn't realized I drove around West Virginia already hehe. There I saw another 2 big guys I told them I was lost I needed to go back to 81 North. They said, you need to go back on the same road that I came from. Keep going until you see the sign there you have to go all the way.
Oh my God! While I am driving I was praying that God will guide me to not have something happens because I was driving so fast because I was in the interstate still. What I did I just keep driving and pay attention with all the signs that was so confusing until I ended up with the Thai Restaurant in West Virginia. The place where Babe Dako and I ate during our anniversary. I was able to find a road with which I was familiar. While I was there I parked in front of that Thai restaurant I then called my Babe Dako again. He said, I have to find the sign 81 North the way going to our place. Finally, I found my way home driving for at least an hour. Believe me I was driving for 3 hours at least and I forgot about the starving stomach because I finally back to my Babe Dako's pass 3 PM already. I felt relieve when I stepped in Hagerstown.
I can't imagine myself got lost for 3 hours in the road. I know its funny now but today is a day I will never forget in my entire life. I can't explained my feelings, I was so nervous.
When I finally with my Babe Dako I saw the big smile on his face and gave me a big kissed that I made it home. He's so proud of me despite of getting lost I still managed to drive calm made it home safe. So now I am not scared to get lost because I know I can remain calm and still find my way home, even if it takes forever hehe...
You did a good job, "Babe Dako says.-:)
It's been a while-:)

Hi Dezz....
ReplyDeleteGlad you made it home safe. I can only imagine how afraid you were while driving in a strange place. Ako? I don't drive...and I've been here for 7 years. When I read stories like this one,it makes me more scared to even try to learn how to drive.
Was it yesterday when cops pulled you? Oh my goodness....you surely had a week to remember....
You take care...no more getting lost anymore, ok?
